Shoe-Rules: Some Advice

You may not think so but there are some rules that you follow when you shop for shoes. They may not be written in stone rules but they are some guidelines that should be followed when shopping for shoes. If you are in need of a new pair of shoes then you should consider shoe shopping in the later part of the day since during the day, feet tend to swell up and cause a difference in trying on a pair of shoes that might be comfortable and shoes that may end up being too tight.

Another rule of thumb is to always try on both pairs of shoes, this is very important since you will be walking around with both feet all day and most people will tell you they have two different size feet even by a slight margin. So make sure that you try on both pairs of shoes. Once you have both shoes on, stand up and take a walk around the store, make sure that they feel good and the back of the shoes aren't scraping the back of your foot or the shoes are evenly too big themselves.

Try to bring pantyhose and socks that you normally will be wearing with these shoes. Even a difference in socks can mean the difference in having a pair of shoes that fit and a pair of shoes that do not fit. Overall you have most likely purchased a few pairs of shoes in your lifetime, so how to choose a pair of shoes is not as important as which pair of shoes to buy. There are some rules of shoe buying in addition to the rules we just mentioned.

One of these rules include for women, never buy a high-heeled shoe that you are not comfortable in. There are many women who are used to wearing heels but sometimes they look through a magazine and see stilettos can think I can wear those, but unless you are used to walking in 7-inch heels and higher you would just be wasting your money. For women a good shoe rule would be to wear only shoes that you are comfortable wearing, they may not A list shoes or shoes that magazines are called trendy but they are good looking shoes that fit you wonderfully.

For men the shoe rules are different since there are no heels on men's shoes. When buying men's shoes experts recommend that you buy shoes that are one shade darker than your pants but if you can find an exact color match then that works as well. Shoes and socks do not have to match, if you are thinking GQ then match your socks and your tie. The rule of thumb is match your belt and shoes f you are going to match anything with your shoes.

Like women, the most important rule of thumb when buying shoes is to buy them with comfort in mind, price is a great consideration especially if you are buying designer shoes but basically if you are going to buy an expensive pair of shoes then make sure they are comfortable and durable, you don't want your shoes fading or falling part weeks after buying them.
